Game Changer is here

Do you love playing games? Which games do you play? Chess, snake and ladder scrabble or Virtual villagers, candy crush or angry birds? Have you won thousands of games and beaten number of people in your scores? Thats great. So what profit did you make? You must have spent hours playing games on the net, must have downloaded lot of applications, might have even paid for some lives, paid for downloading games and what are the returns? Just Time Pass and Fun?

Here is a Game Changer entering the market. From now on, your addiction to games is not only an enjoyable experience but profitable too. Dont believe? Still have doubts? Asking me how much I need to invest?

Yes, I am telling the truth, and No you do not have to invest a penny for that.

Most of the time when I played games like Virtual villagers or Angry birds clearing the levels and putting so much effort, I always thought instead of building a house for virtual villagers what if I could build a real one for myself? Instead of earning highest score in Angrybirds what if I could highest salary. Not even salary if only scoring highest or clearing levels in the shortest time than millions of others had any tangible credit to the player. Now here it is.

Yes, you heard it right. Its rewarding. You get actual real prizes for winning. You can win Cash Jackpots and Luxury Prizes. Not just badges or scores!!

Its challenging. Your 7 year old kid cannot beat you in this game so easily. If he has to beat you, then he has to do some hard work for that. Yes, it needs some brains. Do you have it? Then its for you. You do not have? Then you can be happy with the chocolates games on Facebook.

Because it is challenging and rewarding it automatically becomes more interesting and addictive. Yes, you heard it right, its definitely going to be addictive. But whats wrong, better to get addicted to something which gives you returns than to get addicted to something which empties your pocket.

You play with friends and family. You invite others and when they win you win a share of the Jackpot prize. Isn’t it great? Instead of competing with friends, here you are playing with friends. If you are the smart guy in your group, you will be in more demand. If you have smart friends around you, the chances of winning are more.

  • Simple Game
    • Very simple game. Because I said challenging dont be under the impressions its only for mathematicians or scientists. Its for all the common people. The people who are aware of brands. Yes Brands. Have you heard of Google, Apple, IBM, Mercedes, Mc Donald, TaTa, Reliance, Airtel , Coco Cola ? Which are the top 6 brands as per your views? Does it sound interesting? Yes It is interesting. You just have to select the Top 6 brands which you think will top in the Capital market on the day you are playing the game. If your 6 matches with the Top 6 at the end of the day. Then You hit the Jackpot!!!!! Hip Hip Hurray.. Simple isn’t it?

Believe it or not India is the chosen country to launch

this game for first time ever

Fat cat has chosen India as its first destination to launch Lucky 6. India tops the list in the maximum use of Social Applications. Social will never be Social unless you share things. And Indians are good at sharing. They want to have fun and want their friends to have fun too. Hence Fat Cat has chosen to launch its dream game application Lucky 6 in India.

fatcat sharing

This is going to create a revolution in the Indian gaming scenario followed by world as it is giving rewards in cash. Not just cash, but huge amounts. It is a crowd funded initiative. You can be a part of it too. Click here for more details.

I have been lot of games since the introduction of internet and always felt guilty for wasting my precious time. Of course there are King Players who beat my record in the amount of time spent and number of levels reached. But was it worth it? Now when I look at this game, which is free to install, and its not like gambling. You are not choosing some odd numbers you are choosing most well known brands. And if you are a novice when it comes to brands you will go google and find out. You will discuss on brands with friends. Isn’t it so refreshing and enganging for educated and intellingent people like you and me. Your kids will not come and tell they have beaten your scores, if they want to beat, instead of spending hours on the game, they will spend some time to improve their General knoweldge on brands too. They will start reading newspapers, they will start following TV news, they will not ask you to change the channel if you are watching Business Channels.

I find it so interesting being a fan of Business world.

Uplifting Brands

The game not only tests our Brand knowledge but sooner it will be a test to brands too. There will be reverse action where in the brands would like to know which brands stood in the highest place as per the players!! I do not know whether Fat Cat thought of this, but I do feel this will happen. Free installation and real prizes. Friends win you win. So its going to be viral anyway. And ones millions of people start using there will be debates in all friend circles about brands and why they think that should be the top 6. It will be a test for the brands to know their brand equity, Brand image and positioning of their brands in India and in the global scenario when game enters all countries.

Lucky 6 by fat catI have downloaded the game to my mobile and started exploring it. Have you?

My Porcelanosa house would be

Most of the time the word Dream is followed by Dream Home, Dream Girl/Boy and Dream Job. Among these three also Dream Home is something which every one dreams about. People of all ages from Children to Old ones, people of all countries, Rich or Poor, Educated or Illiterate everybody dreams of his or her dream home at least once in his or her lifetime.

When we moved from a small town like Shivamogga to a big city like Mysore in 1985, how excited I was about our new own house. I was so thrilled. I was only a small girl then. But I was little disappointed when I saw the house. At that age I could not understand that owning a house in a city like Mysore itself is a great achievement. I had dreamt of very big house in my imagination. As there were no Digital Cameras or smart phones at that time, my father had not shown the image of house to us! I was too naive to understand its area by listening to the measurements. So my imagination and the real house did not match. But after a while I was happy. We had enough space to grow flower plants and vegetables. So much wind and light. We could climb on the terrace with a ladder which we could not in Shivamogga as it had a roof made of Mangalore tiles. Then even that house became bigger when I was in High School. I had my own room in First floor. I loved to spend most of the time there.

So that is Past now and we are building our own house now, and understand what it means to own a house, plan every inch of the house, get finance, make adjustments in our life style to complete our dream home. To avoid any disappointment to my daughter I ensure she is present in almost all moments of our Dream home in making. So she knows how big it is, where it is, which is her room, How big is her room and so on.

But somewhere I was not really satisfied with the size of the house again!! With Real Estate booming like anything the prices have shot up like Rockets. And I wonder whether my house will be even as big as the house in which I lived from high school days till marriage! But I found a solution. I felt that it is not the big rooms or number of rooms that matter, it is how you design them. The interior design, the walls, the paint the wardrobes, the windows and the curtain and the furniture and our love towards our house and people living in it. That is what makes a dream home. Love is in abundance so no need to worry about it. All I need to worry is planning the walls, the roof, the floor and Kitchen, shelves, bath room tiles and so on. Here I found some virtual solution to my real dream home. 🙂

Here is a topic from Indiblogger and 24living which says  Pick as many items as you can from Porcelanosa to build your dream home. Tell us why you chose them and why”.

Let me start choosing and see how my dream home turns out to be. Good thing Porcelanosa did is that it has mentioned price in its catalog. So no constraints, let me choose the best one for my dream home!

Ours is an independent villa which is under construction. I would like to have some Sit out arrangement in front of the house as we have more space left in the East Side, which is the Entrance. This is how it I want it to be

Porcelanosa Tiles

So I am choosing Dublo Beige Structure for the outdoor flooring. I selected it as it looks rough and it can stand the attack of water from rain and sun shine from Sun. 🙂 Also it is not slippery. Children run around and make lot of fun in out doors and its just suited for that.

I would choose Par-Ker Oxford Antarcita for the Terrace flooring. As we would be spending most mornings and evenings on Terrace. I spent most of my study hours on our Terrace when I was a student.

terrace tileFor Living room I would choose Madagascar Marron. I chose this color because I am very nostalgic about the house where I was born and brought up. Till 1990 we had the Cement flooring which had Red Oxide painted on it. The floor would shine more and more as we would mop it day after day!! The tiled floor never looked so clean and appealing to me. This Maroon colored tiles in the Porcelanosa catalog really matches with my imagination.

living room marronHere is something unique for my Kitchen. I always dreamed of something like this. Most things get lost in big shelves, hence I want to have as many small units as possible so that everything is at my reach. Just look at this.

kitchen porcelanosa

Now let us see what I buy for my bathroom. Here it is

bathroom porcelanosaThere is much more to choose from Porcelanosa. This is enough for the time being.

Friends I am writing this post for Indiblogger’s Happy Hours. But I hope my dream home comes somewhere near to the dream home described here. Thanks for reading.

Smell can Make or Break a relationship!!

anagha in rain IMG_5361

These days with so much pollution around, having a sharp nose seems to be more of a bane than boon. But nevertheless good smell can make you happy, nostalgic, heal your mind and body. The bad smell can annoy you, spoil your mood and damage your relationship!!

Let me start with the good ones.

The best smell which gives me the most happiness is the smell that comes from mud when first drops of rain fall on it. You cannot experience this smell if it is raining every day. Either it should be first rain of the season, or when it rains during one or two days in summer. Once the soil is wet, we no longer get the privilege to feel that smell, the aroma of Mud when kissed by first drops of rain.

The smell of wet mud during the first rain takes me through different feelings. You feel happy that finally the rain has arrived. Especially in the summer heat of Hyderabad, first rain is definitely nothing less than God. We can really feel Rain as god and thank him with full heart for showering his blessings on us!

It makes me feel fresh, feel like sitting outside watch the rain and inhale the smell as much as I can. It takes me back to the college days in Mysore. I loved rain so much that I prefer to walk in the rain. I used to make the pretext of washing terrace and used to carry broom to the terrace and sweep the terrace, as I wanted to get wet in rain. The smell of rain combined with the smell of leaves and trees takes me to my Grand parents house in Somavarasanthe village of Shimoga.

So when it rains heavily the smell of mud is no longer there, but now, if you smell anything like samosa or green chilli bajji, then? Blessed are the ones who have some one to make some Pakoda and coffee when it is raining outside! After marriage, all this privilege has vanished, I have to go to kitchen and make it, 😦

Another smell I love is the Mysore Sandal Soap. I must have used this soap for at least fifteen years since my birth. After that I had changed to Ponds soap, which is not available now. Now rarely I do buy Mysore Sandal soap, and it takes me back to child hood, Mysore and Shimoga 🙂

mallige jade

Then the Jasmines, especially the ‘Mysore mallige’ ( mallige means jasmine) ; the smell of jasmine really makes me feel fresh, gives a festive mood. Even though we used to decorate our plats with the jasmines on regular basis, they were a must on Festivals. They are a must on festivals. So I really miss my long plat as I am not able to wear long maala ( garland) of jasmine on my hair these days.

The smell of Sooji mallige makes me remember my best friend Smitha. They had that creeper in their house, and during season she regularly wore that. It really had strong smell. I would get head ache if I wore it for full day. The creeper had touched their terrace, so we had to get onto their terrace from neighbor’s terrace and pluck the flowers.

Smell of my mother’s saree, smell of sister’s cream, smell of brother’s perfume, each one is unique!! Now smell of husband’s T – Shirts or daughter’s hair!!!!!

I can smell when milk boils, so I immediately go and switch off the stove, but my husband cannot! Sometimes each and every bad smell is so annoying, and if your partner is not able to feel it, it is all the more annoying!! why so?

Sometimes I feel the power to smell has made my life hell! Here in Nizampet Hyderabad, sometimes the smell coming from factories is so bad, I keep my windows shut all the time. Early mornings I go for walk on terrace and due to smell I come home, close the doors and sit inside!!  I find it difficult to travel in Train because of the bad smell of either Toilets or the bad smell in stations, when train stops for hours.

Some times how ever close a person be, if he/ she does not smell good. If their house does not smell good, I find it very difficult to talk to them, or visit their home… Thus a sensitive nose might make you no so social person!!

And to make sure you do not lose friends and visitors because of this reason, keep a perfume or an ambipur. These days I keep a perfume spray handy so that when ever I feel bad smell I can just spray it.

My mother often used Amrutanjan while travelling to get rid of bad smells!! She even kept a hand kerchief with lot of ponds powder poured into it and folded!

Smell of asafoetida ( Ingu) sprayed on hot oil while seasoning makes me hungry!!

Well there is so much to smell……

Thanks to Indiblogger and Ambipur for giving this topic; Looks like I will come back and write more on this. Do check the link to make your house smell good.

Actions speak louder than words – Success story of Arunachalam

I feel I am lucky to have come across this Indiblogger’s Idea caravan competition. In this we are supposed to watch some videos and blog about the same. Each video is so inspiring and motivating.

In this post I am going to write about Mr.Arunachalam.

Arunachalam hails from South India and is a common man like most of us. He did not study in any IITs or foreign university. But still the simple thought of finding a solution to the everyday problem of the women of the house has made him a great Inventor. So according to him if you have to invent something, create something new, succeed in life, and then all you need is a problem!! Such a thought provoking, philosophical message is there in this statement.

He just invented low cost sanitary pads, the product already existed in the market, but at a higher price tag. Nobody thought of making one for lesser cost. They might have tried, but failed because of the monopoly of the big players in the market. But then how is that Mr.Arunachalam succeeded? Because he started it with a selfless motive. He started it for a cause. The wanted to provide a hygienic pad to all those ladies who could not afford to buy the costly ones. So without keeping profit as the motive, he just started manufacturing the pads, and also taught others to manufacture it. When he could put a factory at the top of a hill in Himalayas, which competitor will go and open his factory there!!!

The big message I get from the video is, we have to think out of the box, we need to have problems in life, welcome problems and find solutions to them, and share your learning, help others find solutions to their problems. Don’t run behind money but run for a cause. Let the cause be selfless.

And he narrates the entire experience in such a humor filled words, it sounds like humor but it’s also a reality. You will get lot and lots of punch lines in this 14 minute video. Watch the video and read the description below that to know about all this ventures, awards and accolades he got.

Hi Hyderabad

shilparaamam, Hyderabad

shilparaamam, Hyderabad

Hi Friends,

Its more than a month since we shifted from Bangalore to Hyderabad. For the first time in my life I am experiencing the awkwardness of not knowing local language!! More so because of my small daughter. Otherwise may be I would’t have minded much. Somehow I would have survived with English, Hindi and little bit of Telugu. Now its more important to learn the language because you need to help your child learn the language so that she can interact easily with others.

And I feel it will be the same way with outsiders in Karnataka, so may be I need to put one blog with simple words and sentences so that outsiders can learn and use while interacting with those who know only kannada. But still somehow I am of the impression that in Bangalore right from Vegetable Vendor, House maid to Auto Drivers.. they speak hindi or english.. So not much of difficulty. Only non kannadigaas can tell me, if I am right.

Apart from language things I liked in Hyderabad or some of the places worth visiting. Shilparaamam of Shilpakalavedike is really too good. A must visit for all who love handicrafts, village atmosphere, classical music and good food. Interestingly I hail from Mysore and I asked in the canteen ‘what is that?’ and reply was its Mysore Bajji!! well 🙂

There is a bullock cart ride for 5/- per head!!.. A village model with people made of mud who really look like real people. My daughter was almost scared looking at those motionless people. Jalagam park is good one for all those who love parks. And for kids. Lumbini garden is also good. Ofcourse its a again a must visit place, as you can go and see the Budda’s statue.

Zoo is pretty big compared to Mysore zoo. But still for seeing animals Mysore zoo is good, as you dont have to walk so much.  But still this looks like a favourite picnic spot for many.

Why I liked Hyderabad so much, and enjoying life is because all these places though very far from where I stay are still reachable!! In bangalore you think of traffic and never feel like going out of home. And in bangalore all the places are meant for shelling out your money.. than to enjoy nature.. expect few parks like lalbagh.. where you cannot definitly expect 2 years kids to play..

Thats all for today..
